New Volunteer Opportunities
|
Foodies. Now that we have two services on Saturday, 12-15 of our staff and volunteers are on campus for six hours--with no chance to run for eats. If you cook and wouldn't mind loving on these folks, let us know. (No gourmet meals necessary; simple is great!)
Technology Team. We're currently seeking volunteers with a background as either a system engineer or help desk engineer. For more information on the help we need, please contact Patty.
Hurricane Katrina. (Still.) Furnishing Hope is a new initiative designed to provide quality, gently-used furniture to families who are still rebuilding after Katrina. We'll be accepting donations beginning April 1, but we're inviting volunteers to participate right away.

This Weekend's TRL
|
So they say actions speak louder than words, right? And a picture is worth 1,000 words? This week, we'll be evaluating our actions in the movement of Jesus Christ through the lens of a key verse in Ephesians.
Our actions as Christians should paint an authentic image--an image that reveals Christ. What do we do that sets us apart from the world? Are we sending others the wrong message when we say we are a Christian--but our actions are painting a different picture?
TRL (The Real Life Experience) is our Sunday evening youth program that meets from 6:15 to 6:30 pm in the auditorium.

Brief Bits
|
Don't forget to set your clocks ahead one hour before you hit the hay on Saturday night!
Hey, guess what? We found a bigger venue for our weekend Membership Class, so we get to re-open registration! Check it out here! Friday and Saturday, April 16 and 17
Our Job Support Group has moved from Wednesdays to Thursdays at 7:00 pm. The group is highly effective; in the last nine weeks, nine members have landed new positions! If you're currently between jobs, please feel welcome to join in . . . and if you happen to have an opening in your company, or if you know someone who knows someone who does, please let Terry know.
